![]() Īs I have been scavenging ex-dem Fujis at acceptable outlay, I missed out on the original 35 until Fuji brought out the budget version. It's the perfect match on the X-Pro2 with the OVF. I intend to keep posting (since I have Fuji credentials ), but maybe not so frequently.īest and warm regards, and continued success to the Fuji shooters! It's been a great ride! I'll also continue to explore the RF world with my Leica M8.2 otherwise Nikon D750 and D200 (CCD sensor M8 and D200 BTW) DSLRs for having fun. I am keeping my toe in the Fuji ecosystem with a X-Pro1, XF35mmF2 R WR and various VM lenses for adapted use. One final observation - those who taught and nurtured my Fuji journey have moved out, or further into new technology too: Adam Bonn and his wonderfully thorough documentation of X-Pro series files and imagery now shoots a Leica M9 or M10 Kevin Mullins whose documentary wedding images, gear reviews, and processing tips I ravenously devoured is more into GF-series kit, video, and instruction/workshops these days. I could go on but I think those who will understand where I'm at, do so by now. AF and IQ equivalence, to my old eye ( DxO DeepPrime levels so many playing fields across image files) and I disregard, or more succinctly do not require/need/care-about, most of the hyped features embedded in new gear. I once again find the DSLR experience more satisfying, far fewer buttons, settings, and less menu-diving required. As a Wendy's commercial asked many years ago: "Where's the beef?" ![]() As I mentioned re X100V in an earlier post, a superb machine requiring only that I provide the transportation, occasionally point, and press the shutter release - my required interaction in the process. Gear is becoming more capable, complex, but the user experience a hollow shell of what I experienced with my first X-Pro1. Fuji kit has been great, but while time and technology move on, I find myself heading in the opposite direction. With Fuji (X-Pro1, X-Pro2, X-H1, X100V) I'm returning to my Nikon FF roots.
